Biography

Joseph Junior Zenny, better known as T-Joe, will be celebrating an incredible milestone in 2025—20 years of leadership with the iconic Haitian band Kreyol La. A seasoned musician since the late 1990s, T-Joe’s journey in the music world has been nothing short of extraordinary. Born on May 31, 1977, in Jacmel, Haiti, and raised in Port-au-Prince, T-Joe’s passion for music began in his teenage years, influenced by Haitian singer Cubano and American artist R. Kelly.

In the late 1990s, T-Joe co-founded Konpa Kreyòl, the famous band known as “Djazz la jeunesse la“. After the band’s breakup in 2005, he formed Kreyòl La, a group that has since become a staple in Haitian music. Under his leadership, Kreyòl La quickly rose to prominence, blending traditional Compas with modern influences and securing its place as one of the most iconic bands in the Haitian music scene. T-Joe’s exceptional talent as a songwriter, coupled with his charismatic stage presence, has been key to the band’s success, making him a beloved figure both locally and internationally.

T-Joe’s influence reaches beyond music. In 2003, he gained widespread recognition for his role in the Haitian film I Love You Anne, earning national acclaim. He revisited his acting career in 2013 with the sequel We Love You Anne, further cementing his versatility as an artist.

A social media sensation, T-Joe engages with his fans on Instagram, Facebook, and TikTok, where his unfiltered posts and humorous interactions have earned him a loyal following. He continues to use these platforms to stay connected with his audience, offering a glimpse into his life with authenticity and humor.

In addition to his musical and acting careers, T-Joe founded Apache World Music (AWM), a record label dedicated to supporting young Haitian artists. Through AWM, he aims to provide the mentorship and opportunities he himself sought early in his career, helping to promote Haitian culture on the global stage. The label’s debut project, Apachidiz Vol 1, features emerging artists Melo and Pablo.

Throughout his career, T-Joe has remained committed to his roots while continuously evolving his musical style.
